Founded in 1998 by a group of Moroccan American volunteers, AMANA is a community based non-profit organization serving the greater Washington DC metro area.
AMANA was created in the spirit of helping the growing American Moroccan community in the United States face the challenges of adapting to a new culture, succeeding in their educational goals, advancing in their professional lives, and raising a family in an Islamic environment.

AMANA relies solely on the expertise, time and donation of volunteers to fulfil its mission. Donations, financial support and partnership with corporate benefactors are at the hart of our success and continuity.

• Help develop a greater understanding of the Islamic culture in the US.
• Help create a good environment for the young generations to thrive while keeping their authenticity and cultural pride.
• Represent and promote before all appropriate government and private institutions in the US, the common interests and wellbeing of the Moroccans and express, through appropriate means, their shared concerns and views.
